Trip-retirement

Houston, TX Trip Tripathi, VP of Green Solutions Team for The Way Companies, is announcing his retirement. He will remain part of The Way Companies, but his role will be that of a consultant instead.

Trip is a Registered Professional Engineer and earned his B.S.M.E from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology and his M.S.M.E. from Clemson University. He has served on the National Board of the Energy Services Coalition and has been named Energy Services Professional of the Year by the Association of Energy Engineers. Trip Tripathi has led the development and implementation of over a billion dollars of mechanical construction and performance contracting projects throughout the United States.

Tripathi started his career at Way in 1975 and pioneered the formation of our Performance Contracting business unit, CES/Way International, in 1985. He began as an Assistant Project Manager and advancing to the position of Executive Vice President and eventually President of CES/Way International.

During his tenure at Way Mr. Tripathi led the development of and implementation of marquee Performance Contracting projects like the Harris County District Heating & Cooling Plant, NRG Stadium Heating & Cooling Plant, Austin Bergstrom Airport, Dallas Love Field, City of Reno, Escambia County and Broward County in Florida, Houston ISD, Humble ISD, Atlanta Public Schools, Shenendehowa Schools and Mt. Vernon Schools in NY, All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, Baylor University, Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and several campuses for the State University of New York System and California State University respectively. On the national level he also has had vast experience in Federal Government installations including our landmark project at the Statue of Liberty and several Army and Air Force bases across the United States.

Over the last five decades, Mr. Tripathi has been an important factor in the success of The Way Companies. His dedication and passion to energy conservation and infrastructure renewal and the resultant impact to the industry will be missed. Trip plans on spending more time with his family, especially his daughters, sons-in-law and new granddaughter in Pennsylvania and his mother in India.
